Armenian PowerSpell 2009 Details

1. Introduction
Armenian PowerSpell
2009 –
Armenian Spellchecker based on new innovative technology for linguistic
analyses of Armenian language. Today most complete package for Armenian
spell check. Contains dictionary with 570,000 words – largest
Armenian electronic spelling dictionary in world. Similar
words suggestion which is realized in PowerSpell based on words soundness,
which is unique method of spell checking today.
2.
Installation
Please
run setup file (single .exe file) and follow screen instruction.
Warning: PowerSpell
integrates into MsWord special program, which allows running of PowerSpell
inside MsWord (macro).
But in most cases MsWord has
security level which disables running of any integrated programs. You need
to enable macro in MsWord. To do this please open Tools menu, select Macro
and then select Security.
Please set security level to
low, this allows running ArmPowerSpell from MsWord.
3. Running PowerSpell
Inside
MsWord press ArmPowerSpell
button in order run.
In Ms Word 2007 Press Add-Ins/Armenian
PowerSpell 2009 button.
After
running PowerSpell will start spelling of Armenian text with speed of 15
page per minute (test on Pentium4 1.7Ghz)
In
order to minimize PoweSpell press Hide button, you will see icon  on Windows taskbar, which means that PowerSpell
is active. This way allows keeping time when you recheck your text. You can
also close PowerSpell by pressing Exit button.
4. Changing and ignoring
words in text
In
order to change spelled word, select similar word from suggestions list and
press Change or Change All button. In order to
ignore word use Ignore or Ignore All buttons. You also can
replace manually by editing red
word in spell window.
5. Adding words to
custom dictionary
PowerSpell
supports custom dictionary up to 50,000 words. To add word in additional dictionary
press Add to Custom Dictionary.
6.
New functions of Extended Version
The new version has the following screen:
1) Function Ignore UPPERCASE - ignores upper case words
2) Extended possibilities for checking of various words versions and
changes
3) Simplest checking for commas, double words, questions and starting of a
new sentence
4) Strong Spell dictionary enhanced to 500,000 words
5) Interactive dictionary update online
6) Press "ENGLISH/ARMENIAN" button to change interface language.
Simplest grammar checker performs the following actions
1) Checks for commas before"baic, sakain" etc.
2) Check if new sentence is starting from upper case.
3) Checks for question marks.
4) Checks for double words.
7. Strong
Spelling Method
Use
STRONG Spelling Method – Strong spelling method, allows checking
words based on existing dictionary only. When this method is ON, program
will not modify and divide words into containing parts, it will simply
check if word is exists in dictionary. However, it means that method will
work slower and will stop on some «known» words, but missed in dictionary.
This method gives better spelling result, but it is not for everyday use.
8. Advanced
settings
By
pressing "Advanced"
button you will see advanced settings. Here you can change custom
dictionary file name (by default "аcustom.dic"). Editing of
custom dictionary possible by pressing "Edit Custom Dictionary".
You
can disable using of custom dictionary by checking "Do not use custom dictionary".
If you want allow to check also English words uncheck "Check Only Armenian Words"
Words listed in
"Names" sections should be started with uppercase letter, words
listed in Short Names sections should be written in total UPPERCASE format.
9. Removing program
Please select
Remove PowerSpell from Add/Remove Programs of Control panel.
10. Notes from developers
Armenian PowerSpell 2009 – new product from team of
popular product - Armenian Orfo. Development of Armenian Orfo stopped
and will not continue because was not contains professional linguistic
analyses, new product developed on principal
new technology. PowerSpell protected by
